1. 01

   Check the schedule and initialize the day at the service center

   Choose Prepare for Fishing at the Adventurer Hub to reach 1@vrpop 289,255. Talk to the fishing service center to initialize Fishing Level and check/reset daily tasks before the first catch.

   Daily Tasks, Achievements and Rankings show progress, character statistics and collection records. No party is required. Check the calendar and NPC for the schedule, character level and remaining eligibility each time. Schedules and conditions may change.

2. 02

   Buy a rod and choose bait

   The old fisherman at 286,268 offers Buy Bait, Buy Rod and My Statistics. Full rod/bait prices appear in Preparation. Check Fishing Level before choosing a rod.

   Equip the rod in your right hand and carry bait. Select the desired bait at the fishing point. If it runs out, another available type is selected automatically, preferring the highest quality available. Keep bait you wish to reserve out of your inventory while fishing continuously.

3. 03

   Fish once or continuously

   Talk to a fishing point in 1@vrpop, such as #1 at 53,150. Choose bait, then Fish Once or Continuous AFK Fishing. Sit until the progress bar completes for the catch roll. A failed catch awards no fish/EXP/points but consumes bait.

   Reserve at least 3 inventory slots and enough capacity for the actual fish. Cancel by talking to the same point and confirming cancellation. Movement or interruption while waiting may stop fishing. Closing time stops further attempts.

   Each successful result selects one fish ID from its rolled pool, ×1 or ×2 of the same type. The account’s 60-fish quota is checked after preparing the result. If only one claim remains but ×2 is rolled, the whole attempt may award no fish and stop. Bait has already been consumed.

4. 04

   Enter the special zone and check weather

   Achievement Ach4 requires Fishing Lv30. Claim it at the service center first. The special entrance at 70,147 warps to 78,102. The special fishing point at 90,105 checks Fishing Lv30 again.

   The same rods and bait apply, but base Rare+ fish weights are higher. Exit through the map portal at 77,106 to return to 72,150.

   Weather changes every 30–60 minutes: normal 55%, rain 25%, storm 10%, sun 10%. Rain adds Rare bonus 10; storm adds Legendary 5; sun adds 10 percentage points to catch success.

   • Collecting all 24 types is not required for entry. Although some dialogue mentions Collection, use the service center’s Ach4 Lv30 requirement.
5. 05

   Time, success and fish rarity formulas

   Attempt time is at least 5 seconds: rod time − Level bonus − rod time-reduction stone − set time-reduction stones − set bonus. Level ≥10/20/30/40/50 reduces 5/10/15/20/25 seconds (highest applicable band). Rod Tier1/2/3 time stones reduce 3/6/9 seconds; each set stone reduces 3/5/8. Wearing 2/3/4/5 distinct set types reduces another 3/5/7/10 seconds.

   Success = 65% + rod success stone (5×Tier) + total matching set stones (5×Tier each) with ≥3 set pieces another 5 +10 in sun, up to 100%. Rings count as one set type, but stones in both rings contribute.

   Common/Uncommon/Rare/Epic/Legendary use weighted selection: Ordinary zone 550/250/120/60/20 Special zone 300/250/250/150/50 Rare adds 10×R bonus; Epic adds 10×E; Legendary adds 5×L. Rarity chance = its weight÷total weight, rather than directly adding the percentages suggested by menu wording.

   R/E/L bonuses: Special bait +5/0/0; gold bait +5/3/1 Lv≥20: +3/0/0; ≥30: +5/2/0; ≥40: +10/5/1; ≥50: +15/10/3 (highest applicable band) Rare stones +2×Tier each, Epic +Tier, Legendary +Tier, combining rod and set Set ≥4 pieces R+5, ≥3 E+5, ≥5 L+2 Rain R+10 or storm L+5.

   After rarity selection, types have equal weight in the complete pool above. Sizes: Common 5–30 /Uncommon 20–60 /Rare 50–120 /Epic 80–180 /Legendary 150–300 cm. Fish ×2: the rod’s double-catch stone rolls 5×Tier%; only if it fails does the combined set effect roll 5×Tier per stone. Combined chance = 1−(1−rod chance)×(1−set chance), capped at two fish. Bait-saving bonuses similarly roll rod and set separately, at 10×Tier per stone. Either success prevents bait consumption.

   • When the original bait runs out, the attempt’s fish bonus may use the automatically selected replacement. Check the active bait message.
6. 06

   Fishing EXP, points and rewards

   Base Fishing EXP per success: Common 5–15, Uncommon 25–50, Rare 60–100, Epic 120–200, Legendary 300–600. Actual EXP = floor(random base ×[100+all bonuses]÷100), at least 1; fish ×2 does not multiply EXP. EXP stones add Tier×10 each. Level ≥10/20/30/40/50 adds 10/20/30/50/100%, using the highest band. A set of 4/5 pieces adds +15/+25%. An active Fishing EXP buff adds +100% to the other bonuses, rather than doubling the final result again.

   Catch points = Common5 /Uncommon15 /Rare40 /Epic100 /Legendary300 per successful result, without multiplying for fish ×2. The rod point stone multiplies by (100+10×Tier)÷100, rounded down first. Combined set point stones then multiply by (100+10×total Tier)÷100, rounded down again. Catch points cannot raise the balance above 1,000.

   Fishing EXP progresses to Lv50; the complete table is above. Points are a character spending balance, resetting to 0 each new day. Fishing stops at 1,000. Purchases reduce the balance but do not increase the account’s 60-fish quota.

   • Daily task rewards may push points above 1,000, which also stops fishing.
7. 07

   Choose three Daily submissions and claim achievements

   Daily tasks use character statistics, without submitting fish. Choose 3 of 5 tasks per day: Q1 Common 30 →50 points Q2 Uncommon15 →80 Q3 Rare or higher5 →120 Q4 Catch one fish ≥100cm →100 Q5 Complete20 attempts, including failures →60 Claim points at the service center. Tasks and submission counts reset each new day.

   Each stone pool selects one of nine types with equal weight. The logbook at 280,297 shows Collection/counts/best sizes. Selling fish does not clear recorded Collection entries.

8. 08

   Sell fish and spend points carefully

   The fresh-fish shop at 302,288 offers Exchange All Fish, Exchange One Type, Sales Statistics and Exchange Rates. Fish convert only to Fishing Points; Zeny/Cash/item exchanges are unavailable.

   Each fish sells for base points 5/15/40/100/300 by rarity, without stone multipliers. Points awarded are limited by remaining balance capacity up to 1,000, but every selected fish is consumed even if full value cannot be received. In particular, Exchange All may consume fish for no points at the cap. Sell one type at a time and limit quantity.

   The reward shop at 305,283 exchanges 501×1=100 points, 502×1=250, and the fishing set at Preparation prices. The Cash Coin menu lists 300points→61001×1, 1,500→×5 and 3,000→×10, but its daily quota is 0, so exchange is unavailable. Do not save points for this menu.

9. 09

   Upgrade stones and attach them to equipment

   The enhancement craftsman at 277,273 combines matching stones ×2: Tier1→Tier2 succeeds70%, Tier2→Tier3 succeeds40%. Failure returns an original stone ×1. Combining costs no Zeny.

   The equipment craftsman at 292,274 attaches stones to an equipped rod ID8900001–4 or set piece ID8900100–4. Each attempt costs 5,000 Zeny +selected stone×1. Only Slot4 is available, with80% success. Optional ID61407×1 adds20 for100%. Confirm and wait3 seconds.

   Success replaces the existing stone in the selected slot while retaining other cards and refinement. Failure consumes the stone and money without attaching a new stone. Check equipment and slot before confirming. Costume/Shadow equipment is unavailable in this menu.
