Step-by-step walkthrough

1. 01

   Apply for training

   Speak to Tohobu, give your name and choose I wish to become a monk... If you previously chose to tour the grounds, speak again and ask to become a Monk.

   Enter the building, find Moohae and choose Yes. Receive one random set A–G, collect the entire set and deliver it. The items are consumed, and he sends you to Touha.

   Holy pledge rules

   Touha assigns one of three holy pledges. Select all 10 lines in order. Every answer must be correct for a score of 100.

   Follow the answer text rather than option numbers, since choices change position between lines. If you fail, speak to Touha again. A new attempt may assign a different pledge.

6. 06

   Choose mushrooms or the marathon

   Visit Boohae and choose Touha sent me. → We recited a holy pledge. → He modified my body. Then choose Gathering mushrooms or Marathon.

   Speak to the Door Keeper, enter the building and follow the route to Bashu. He lets you choose a room again. You can switch training, but the required marathon laps depend on your earlier training choice.

7. 07

   Mushroom gathering route

   Bashu sends you to the garden in job_monk. Speak to Hyunmoo and attack mushrooms to gather Orange Net Mushroom and Orange Gooey Mushroom.

   Carry at least 30 of either type and at least 1 of the other. Carrying only 30 of a single type does not pass; neither does 15 + 15. There is no individual time limit.

   Submission consumes all carried mushrooms of both types and returns you to the building entrance so you can visit Tomoon. Quitting switches you to the marathon and may consume all mushrooms, so avoid Quit if you intend to keep gathering.

8. 08

   Marathon route

   Bashu sends you to monk_test 386,387. Follow the route around the map to checkpoint 387,350, which returns you to the start. Keep running until the completion message appears and you return to the building entrance.

   Choosing Marathon with Boohae requires 10 checkpoint passes. If you originally chose mushrooms and then entered Bashu's running room without changing the assigned route, it requires 11 passes. There is no individual time limit.

   A trap returns you to the start without clearing completed laps. Speak to the Apprentice Monk and choose Keep running. Choosing Quit. switches you to mushroom gathering.

9. 09

   Maze test

   Return to Tomoon inside the building. He sends you to the Proctor hall at monk_test 88,74. Choose one proctor to enter a maze. The three mazes are alternatives; you only need to complete one.

   Proctor 82,85 sends you to 125,277, with the exit at 166,278. Proctor 88,91 sends you to 125,177, with the exit at 166,178. Proctor 95,85 sends you to 230,277, with the exit at 270,278. All coordinates are in monk_test.

   Find a route through the walkable gaps. Zombie and Mummy appear along the path; defeat obstacles as needed. Completion checks that you reach the exit, rather than a kill total. There is no individual time limit.

   If you die or leave early, ask Tomoon to retry. Item collection, the holy pledge and endurance training do not need to be repeated.

10. 10

    Take the potion and final oath

    After leaving the maze, return to Tomoon for 1 Green Potion. Drink it and return to Moohae. You must carry no Green Potion at all; store or drink any other bottles of the same type before speaking.

    Answer in order: dedicate your life to purity → Yes.; use power for yourself → No.; punish those opposing Truth and Justice → Yes.; cooperate and sacrifice for friends → Yes.; lure monsters onto friends → No.; repeatedly shout and disturb others → No.; give your life for others → Yes.; confirm the oath → I vow to keep these oaths.

    A wrong answer restarts Moohae's questions from the beginning. Completed training remains saved, even if some dialogue says to restart training. Pass to change class and receive your weapon.
